A Keurig coffee maker is a wonderful holiday gift.
Even if you don’t drink coffee, it’s nice to have one on hand in case someone comes over who wants a cup of joe. It’s a great gift idea for anyone who loves a hot beverage. You can make tea, apple cider, and hot chocolate in it, too.
You can have one cup of coffee whenever you want it ! You get a fresh cup and never have to worry that the coffee has been sitting around for hours.
You can usually find it at Costco or Sam’s Club or Bed Bath and Beyond. You can also order it here.
If you buy coffee directly from Keurig, you should become a member (free to join) of their coffee club. They will discount the coffee and ship it to you for free if you spend $45 (which is usually ordering @ 4 boxes). The varieties are plentiful and the coffees are available in regular and decaf, flavored and unflavored.
No mess or measuring or clean up with the K-cups. They are readily available in lots of places, but, if you order them on line, the selection is more extensive than in a store. If you are a Starbucks only lover, good news!! A Starbucks variety K cup is coming out by the end of this year, so keep an eye out for it.
If you still feel you have to brew your own, you can buy this neat accessory.
Also, if you like espresso, try a K-cup like Green Mountain Espresso Blend. You’ll need to brew it on one of the lower water settings to make the K-cup stronger. Then, if you’d like a little froth with your espresso, use the Keurig Frother. This is a separate item that you purchase, add milk to it (skim milk works great too) and voila-you have a latte.
Here’s what the frother looks like:
Hint – if you do decide to purchase these items, check prices, but consider Bed, Bath and Beyond. They generally have 20% off coupons readily available.
